Sea Life Park Welcomes World Famous Pink’s Hot Dogs

Restaurant will be the first and only Pink’s outlet in HawaiiPinks

WAIMĀNALO, O‘AHU, HAWAI‘I – Sea Life Park goes Hollywood!  On Saturday, March 7, the Park will welcome legendary Pink’s Hot Dogs, becoming Hawaii’s exclusive outlet for the iconic Tinseltown eatery. The restaurant will have service windows both inside and outside the park, so residents and visitors can enjoy a Pink’s hot dog whether they’re just stopping by, or enjoying Sea Life Park’s world-class exhibits and shows.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming Pink’s to Sea Life Park as the only location in Hawaii where you’ll be able to enjoy these beloved hot dogs,” said Valerie King, Sea Life Park General Manager.  “Anyone who’s had a Pink’s hot dog knows there’s something special about it.  Pink’s is a household name in Hollywood, and we’re excited to bring some of that glamour and tastiness to our shores.  And in honor of coming to Hawaii, Pink’s chefs are concocting a special island dog just for us.”

That would be Pink’s Famous Hawaiian style dog – a 9-inch hot dog grilled and smothered in homemade teriyaki sauce and topped with cole slaw and fresh Dole pineapple.  Or, for the more adventurous, there’s the Makapu‘u Mama Mia – a 9-inch dog with sautéed peppers, onions, and mushrooms, chopped tomato and shredded mozzarella cheese, a concoction originally dreamed up by celebrity chef Giada de Laurentiis.  Pink’s at Sea Life Park will also feature Polish dogs, hamburgers, and its signature chili, which has delighted millions, whether slathered on a dog or on its own.

For decades, legendary Pink’s Hot Dogs has been a magnet for celebrities at its original location at Melrose and La Brea avenues in the heart of Hollywood.  Famous personalities descend on Pink’s original site for its famous dogs, which number over forty different types, many of which have been named after celebrities such as Jay Leno, Martha Stewart and Marlon Brando.
